Question 2: What is C.R.I.S.T.A.L.® technology?

How It Started:

Crisp Resolution Integrated Stereo Audio Line or better known as C.R.I.S.T.A.L.®, started out as an audiophile stereo mastering and encoding technology developed by Daniel Foo, founder of GECKO MUSIC GROUP. It enables every regular disc that is encoded with this technology sounding like the master source itself, if not better. The mastering technology involved an ultra-wide dynamic spectrum enhancement for the genuine expressions of music, without altering its original tonality and values.

The C.R.I.S.T.A.L.® technology allows easy and lossless conversion to major frequencies of 32, 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96kHz and higher. The encoding stage involves a propriety-burning technique that has the rate of more than 2.8224 Mbps/Ch on a regular disc.

The same C.R.I.S.T.A.L.® technology concept has since evolved into the following hardware forms: C.R.I.S.T.A.L.® WaveGuide, C.R.I.S.T.A.L.® Audiophile PreAmps, C.R.I.S.T.A.L.® Audiophile Class-H and GECKO® C.R.I.S.T.A.L.® Acoustic Adaptation Processor (GCAAP), now widely used on GECKO® professional audiophile grade equipments for home, studio, and live sound applications.

Using our proprietary Passive and Active Power-Factor Correction (PFC) methods, coupled with C.R.I.S.T.A.L.® Audiophile technology, we are able to achieve a highly-precise linear audio spectrum reproduction across any sound pressure level (SPL): at 0dB, below 0dB, and above 0dB; using minimum required power.

(a) More than 40% energy savings on electricity. Example: The large format GECKO® REVELATION SLA 812RA/SLA 818WA active line array system utilizes single phase 13A current supply. Hence, lower breakdown rate, lower maintenance and operating cost. whereas most of the market’s large format line arrays are running on minimum three phase 32A current supply!

(b) Natural clarity with minimum loss over full spectrum of the reproduced audio waveform. GECKO® professional audiophile systems require very minimum DSP tweaking or non at all. Usually they are “plug-and-use”, hence more than 50% savings on the time for setup, sound check, and dismantling on site, while making mixing experience much easier.

(c) Wider coverage, C.R.I.S.T.A.L.® clear sound, with lesser equipment. An application example of C.R.I.S.T.A.L.® WaveGuide can be seen here.

(d) Feedback (howling) phenomenon minimized.

GECKO MUSIC GROUP is committed to ongoing audio technology research and development.

C.R.I.S.T.A.L.® Audiophile technology enables unity power factor and accurately-controlled amplitude modulation through f(x,t) = 1.00*sin(2*Π/0.10*(x-1.00*t)) and g(x,t) = 1.00*sin(2*Π/0.11*(x-1.00*t)), resulting in natural clarity with minimum loss over full spectrum of the reproduced audio waveform.
