Running the Amplifier with 2Ω Load
Virtually all professional amplifiers will accept loads down to 4Ω safely in stereo mode. Many are being rated for 2Ω loads but often will run into overheating protection when used with 2Ω loads, particularly in high ambient temperature and high output power applications. Check the user's manual of your amplifier to find out the lowest impedance it can handle. Never use a total impedance load that is lower than the lowest impedance that the amplifier can handle (for instance, hooking up too many enclosures in parallel).
